Message-ID: <001e01cc9868$a602bdc0$f2083940$@org> Hi everyone, We're on for November 1st at 8pm EDT, although with a slight change: we'd like to use this call as a focus group to test some of the questions and explore potential new areas of questioning, before we go global with the survey. You will all still get a sneak peek at the results before anyone else. One more thing: if our data our sexy enough, we'll try to get media coverage for it. Your stories of living in the 21st century as a polymath (or aspiring one) may go on to inspire others.who knows? Join the call (Skype: polymath.conversations) and share! Hey folks, By popular demand, we'll push the call back to Tuesday, November 1st, 2011 at 8pm EDT. Mark your calendars! We're always open to suggestions on timing, topics, and the like, so feel free to shoot them out. Hi all, Had a great call tonight. We hit the science of behavior change, the scientific art of beer making, and personality meets productivity. Good fun. Next up we will be discussing something truly interesting: us! To our knowledge, there is very little research on what modern day polymaths are. So we're giving it a shot to plug the knowledge gap. See: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CiFx5TWaLKfzdw-Z2im-zXP5tXbEX2r0WNt76Bda dhY/edit. A lovely volunteer and Junto participant, Kirsten [www.personalizedproductivity.com] knocked out the first draft. If you have any comments or additional questions, please make them on the document. We'll open for data collection next week. And the next call will focus on the results, as well as our normal "polymath intellectual speed dating". It's quite possible we're the only ones in the world with this particular, niche service. So please join! Our regulars will tell you it's always rewarding. Mark down Sunday, October 30th, 2011 at 8pm EDT for the call. Will keep it between 1 - 1.5 hours. Join by confessing (Alcoholics Anonymous-style) "Hi, my name is _____ and I'm a recovering polymath" on Skype. Our username is: polymath.conversations. Cheers, James P.S. Kindly invite your polymathic friends to join. And perhaps show us some love on your favorite social media site? Message-ID: <003e01cca449$8f2116a0$ad6343e0$@org> Hi all, Our next Polymath Conversation will be on: Monday, 12/5/11 at 8pm EDT. We'll give you a brief rundown on the results from our exploratory research on the modern-day polymath and then dive into brief descriptions of everyone's latest and greatest projects, hacks, initiatives, and the like. Speaking of which, if you would be so kind to take our survey. Only took me 8 minutes. And if you'd like to pass it on: "Are you a modern day Renaissance Man or Woman? Does your curiosity span multiple disciplines? Are you accomplished in more than one field? If so, we want to hear from you: www.bit.ly/polymathsurvey." You can join the call by messaging us on Skype with your name and a word or two describing yourself a few minutes before we start. Our username is: polymath.conversations. I actually signed up for Project Polymath a looong time ago, but there was some glitch of some sort and I was told that my email kept bouncing.? This is a test to both introduce myself (read more about me at mentathlete.blogspot.com) and to see if everything is now working smoothly.? Looking forward to starting the new year as a polymath! ?
